Cycle Association

This alliance marks a significant milestone in our shared passion for cycling and community building.

TCI Friday Crits
  • The Association has been founded to promote Cycling as a sport for users of the West Lothian Cycle Circuit
  • The Association formed by the collaboration of 9 clubs: Edinburgh Road Club, Falkirk Junior Bike Club, Hervelo Cycling Club, Livingston Cycling Club, Musselburgh Roads Cycling Club, RC Cumbernauld & Kilsyth – RCCK, Stirling Bike Club, Vanelli-Project Go and West Lothian Clarion. Clubs are encouraged to join the association.
  • The Association is affiliated to Scottish Cycling and will coordinate the TCI Friday race series as well as organising coaching sessions and timing training.
  • Each member club of the association will organise 2 rounds each of the TCI Friday series, with the Association managing much of the repeated bureaucracy making it easier to organise races .
  • The objectives of the Association are to promote cycling at the WLCC, encourage participation for new and existing riders, nurture participation from underrepresented groups, provide opportunities for volunteering and to support the delivery of cycling events at the circuit. With the combined expertise, resources, and enthusiasm of each club, we are poised to elevate the cycling experience for enthusiasts of all levels.

Steve Canney – ERC President and WLCCA Chair says “I’m really excited about five clubs working together to foster grass roots racing and feel like we are really building a partnership for the future. Our initial offering of the Friday evening crit series this summer will be a great opportunity for new riders to get experience and for experienced riders to get stuck into some fun and friendly competition chasing the series titles.”
